A&B Mechanical
Lemont Stevens & Mark Olsen founded A&B Mechanical in 1952. In 1968, A&B Mechanical invited Gary Sanders, Mike Tolley, and Dennis Nelson, all A&B mechanics who worked in the field, to become partners in the company. At least one quarter of A & B's employees joined the company as apprentices 25 or more years ago. Today, those employees are journeymen, foremen, and general foremen. The corporate culture of A&B continues to emphasize long-term employment and developing leadership form the rank-and-file workers.
A&B Mechanical is a union contractor specializing in large scale commercial construction. The company's annual revenue is approximately $25 million. A&B's premier projects in 2007 included the IMHC Building with central plant and distribution tunnels; the Cephalon Pharmaceutical Plant; Westgate Building #19 at the Canyons; and the Weber State University Student Services Building.
