Joining is Easy

If you are a plumber's apprentice licensed in Utah and can document at least one year of plumbing school, we will place you with a union contractor and give you credit in our apprenticeship training program for the school you have completed
If you are a journeyman plumber licensed in Utah, we will place you with a union contractor
If you are a pipefitter, pipe-welder, or HVAC-R Service Technician and are able to document 5-years of experience in the trade, plus provide references to support your experience, we will give you a placement test applicable to your trade, and place you appropriately in either on-the-job apprentice training or as a journeyman with a union contractor
At the end of 90-days, if we are both happy with each other, we will process your application and initiate you as a member of UA Local 140
